Back in the day, when I was searching for some ancient long cast aside multi tracks in Bill Krodel’s garage, I came across this forgotten recording, recorded most likely in July 1983. I don’t recall ever recording this version of “Nowhere to Unwind”, and until it was discovered, I had no idea it even existed.

Recorded live, with only a scratch guitar, ‘Nowhere to Unwind’ is an overall, pretty strong performance (except for the bass fuck up in the bridge), but unfortunately also contains several grave technical problems, foremost, the unusual speeding up and slowing down, which was on the multi-track master itself. This is not the band’s fault; something went awry with the one inch master. Perhaps this is why we never completed the song.
